SITKA GEAR YOUR OUTDOOR SOLUTION
Turning Clothing Into Gear
Founded in 2005, SITKA® Gear was an idea spawned by necessity. After 3000 vertical feet in the dark, with intermittent snow flurries and driving sleet, the morning climb ended behind a gnarled White Bark Pine to get some reprieve from the elements. Cold and wet with sweat from that climb, it was more than obvious that discomfort like this was unnecessary. So, on that September morning, at timberline, surrounded by bugling bulls, the vision that became Sitka was realized. Drawing on strong backgrounds in the climbing, mountaineering, and general head strong assaults of the backcountry, expertise and experience were focused on bridging the gaps that existed between these endeavors. Sitka's driving goal is to not only bridge the technology gaps that existed from a fabric, construction, and product form perspective, but to fully immerse ourselves in driving new technologies and solutions for the modern outdoorsman. Our roots are in the mountains, but our solutions range wide.
Sitka Gear Has You Covered All Season Long
Typically, whitetail hunting happens when the grass is dead, the leaves are falling, the November sky is gray, and your breath becomes a frigid fog the moment it leaves your mouth. What whitetail fanatics don’t always share is that booners are sometimes most abundant in the early season. The leaves and underbrush are still thriving, which makes trail blazing inevitable, and temperatures can still soar. Lightweight fabrics that can take a beating while enabling maximum mobility and breathability are a must. Our Early Season Systems respond brilliantly to all these needs.
For whitetail hunters, a new season means months of hard work, along with a healthy dose of optimism and ample excitement. When the rut hits, staying out for extended periods through all weather conditions increases your odds of cashing in on the blood, sweat, and hours you’ve given to the field. Our mid-season systems will keep you comfortable in the stand for as long as it takes to land the deer that makes it all worthwhile.
With bucks often traveling all day during the late season, extended time in the stand is critical. Our late-season systems are designed for long periods of inactivity while you wait out that buck you’ve been patterning for weeks. Soft-face fabrics ensure silence in the cold weather while body-mapped insulation provides comfort as temperatures dip.
