The Patent Pending GripSense Technology utilizes similar technology to smartphones, in that the product contains a detection zone in the area that users middle finger indexes the trigger guard of the firearm and senses the user's grip on the firearm and activates the light or laser instantly. The user has the option to turn off the light or laser with the push of a button or disable the GripSense Activation and rely solely on the button activation

The CF-SHIELD-C-G comes with a green laser despite what any website says including Lasermax, its misnomer, that said it has several light/laser/gripsense modes, my favorite being full power light and strobing laser.
The Lasermax Centerfire light/laser combo (CF-SHIELD-C-G) comes with a green laser despite what any website says including Lasermax, its misnomer. That said it has several light/laser/gripsense modes, my favorite being full power light and strobing laser. I've tried the Streamlight TLR-6 as well as a PL-Mini II on a Recover Tactical Rail Adapter, thus far this is my new favorite light/laser setup for my Shield and hands. The differences between the Centerfire and the TLR-6 is that the light bezel is underneath the laser aperture this offers more flexibility in terms of point of aim and point of impact convergence between the mechanical sights and the lasers beam. Another difference is the actual lasers color being green over red which allows for aiming during day time brightness. The difference between the Centerfire and the PL-Mini II with a rail adapter setup is having a narrower and more compact package, the PL-Mini II does not have a laser and while the Baldr MIni and Baldr MIni S do the rail adapter creates a similar distance spacing between the beam and the mechanical sights as on the TLR-6. I recommend you do your homework when purchasing holsters for any of these as they will not fit each other.
